“Well it’s too late tonight

To drag the past out into the light

We’re one but we’re not the same

We get to carry each other, carry each other”

“One” by U2

Love comes walking in. Whether loud or silent, bold or mysterious, love is what makes the world go round and it’s the one thing we’ll never have enough of. One lesson that we’ve all learned these past two years is the importance of love, not just between people we care for, but the love for ourselves and planet earth. This full moon highlights tension between ego desires and a need for connection. The secret is that both are very possible, you just have to be willing to master the art of listening.

And listening we will do, not only for the full moon on April 16th, but well into the rest of spring, as Mercury gets ready to turn retrograde in its home sign of Gemini. Any themes coming up now are going to be relevant around then, so be sure to think before you speak and most of all, that your actions match your words. While we can keep our emotions from others, we can’t lie to ourselves. Since the full moon makes a square to Pluto, there is a push-pull surrounding a need for more vulnerability and wanting independence. A lot of us have been trained to keep a poker face, play hard to get, feign interest, and to “let them chase you”. Well, a lot of us are also not happy in our relationships, so it’s clear the current way simply isn’t working. With love, there is always the risk, but what if the reward could be greater? What if true love has been under your nose this whole time, but you were too busy worrying about perfection to even see it? Between a square to Pluto and four planets currently in the sign of mystical Pisces, there’s the painful realization that we often push away the very people we want to have closer. Sure, it’s nice to be protective and cautious, but what good does that do if we’re still not getting what we want? And sure, with Pisces influence there is always the risk of getting swept away in fantasy, but there is also the potential to get swept into our wildest dreams being brought to life.

The current conjunction between Jupiter and Neptune can bring anxiety and uncertainty about the future, but the reality is that there is very little we have control over. All the law of attraction and meditation mantras in the world can’t change the fact that some things are fated, but is that such a bad thing?

On a social level, in some areas there may be growing division, especially when it comes to division between classes, which is obvious with the current Etsy workers strike and anger toward CEO’s like Amazon’s Jeff Bezos who continue to profit off of other people’s backs. Currently, there is an account on Instagram called @standagainstthescam that’s advocating for protection of small businesses due to Meta’s lack of actions around impostor accounts. One issue on social media is the idea that only famous people can get verified, making the rest of us exposed to these attacks. The illusion that we’re different because of how much money we make or where we came from has caused conflicts for years, and thanks to this full moon, it’s high time to put the swords down and work together. In the coming weeks, there may be peace talks or a growing demand to put an end to an ongoing conflict- whether it relates to Russia and Ukraine is to be seen.

The lesson behind this full moon is to remember that as much as it’s wonderful to be able to stand alone, it’s just as good to have someone who allows you to be seen, in the raw nakedness of your being. Whether that’s literal or metaphorical nakedness, is completely up to you.

To gain insight on how to make the best of this full moon, read below for your sun, moon and rising. Deck used is the Gilded Tarot.

Aries Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Seventh House)
Card: Three of Pentacles  — Element: Earth

You’re hard at work on a specific goal that on the moment perhaps only you know about. The Three of Pentacles shows up when we’re in the process of bringing an idea into existence and are working closely with the right people to make it happen. This card comes as a reminder that while being confident on your own is a good thing, you’d do best to open up to like-minded people who share your vision. Someone may have an outlook that you haven’t even considered yet.

For Aries Rising, this full moon is in your seventh house of partnerships. It would be wise to take a step back and analyze which relationships are working for you, and which ones are draining. You’re used to independence and may not realize just how many extra burdens you’ve been taking on, till someone comes along to offer a helping hand.

Taurus Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Sixth House)
Card: Emperor  — Element: Fire

This period in your life is all about stepping out into the world to take on a leadership role of sorts. The Emperor shows up when we’re expected to take on more responsibilities that will greater benefit our future. You may be experiencing an emotional growth spurt, and it’s obvious that you aren’t the same person you were a year ago. People may be shocked by your transformation, but rest assured the right ones will support you.

For Taurus Rising, this full moon is in your sixth house of work and daily habits. If you aren’t happy with you’re everyday life, tap into the influence of Saturn and initiate the right path for yourself. For instance, if you feel like other people control your daily life, don’t be afraid to put your foot down and remind them that only you are responsible for your happiness. However, if you’ve been slacking off, perhaps a little confrontation is just when you need in order to get motivated again.

Gemini Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Fifth House)
Card: Queen of Wands  — Element: Fire

Sometimes it’s necessary to burn bridges in order to move forward. The Queen of Wands shows up when we’re in a position to decide what ignites our passions. She stands tall and if you look closely at the card, her wand is pointed in the direction of a flame, which symbolizes a goal she is looking to achieve. Protect your ideas with grace and don’t be afraid of a bit of adversity.

For Gemini Rising, this new moon is in your fifth house of fun and creativity. It’s time to let your hair down and put on hold whatever responsibilities may have been overwhelming you. If you started a creative project sometime around six months ago, this is the period where you’ll finally see rewards for your hard work. Congratulations! If this isn’t the case, it’s time to decide whether a current fling is worth turning into a partner, or if it’s better to let them go.

Cancer Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Fourth House)
Card: Five of Cups  — Element: Water
Something didn’t work out as planned but you know in your heart that it’s for the best. The Five of Cups shows up after some type of disappointment. However, if you spend too much time dwelling on the past, you could miss out on a blessing. If you look at the card, there are two cups behind him, indicating that not all is lost. Endings can mark new beginnings.
For Cancer rising, this full moon is in your fourth house. There may have been in a loss in your family or a separation from someone that you were very close to, and now it’s time to make peace with the past. Any grudges or conflict should be resolved, but whether you choose to keep someone around after adversity is another story. You’re learning that peace is more important than holding onto situations that aren’t good for you.

Leo Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Third House)
Card: Knight of Wands  — Element: Fire
You’re feeling bold, passionate, and ready to grab life by the horns. The Knight of Wands shows up when we’re ready to move forward regardless of the risk involved. Consider wearing red in order to feel a sense of empowerment. Anything that fuels your confidence is meant for you, regardless of whether it’s a job, goal, or a new love interest. If you’re single and open to love, a passionate type has their eye on you and may come around unexpectedly. They could be a fire sign or have a strong Mars in their chart.

For Leo rising, this full moon is in your third house of communication and community. You’ve reached a period where your actions match your words and you are on the verge of sharing a message with the world. This could be a book, business idea, blog, or simply a new attitude. Regardless, the cosmos smile as you gain courage to express yourself with more honesty than ever. You feel connected to your people or may feel compelled to connect with others more deeply.

Virgo Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Second House)
Card: Six of Wands  — Element: Fire
This is a period of victory for you. The Six of Wands show up when we’ve come out on top in the face of adversity and are finally reaping the rewards. Recently, you may have struggled either with an insecurity or childhood trauma that left you feeling abandoned, like no one cares for you. You’re beginning to realize who’s on your side and that you’re never really alone, but most importantly, you’ve found something even more precious, self-love.

For Virgo rising, this full moon is in your second house of values and self-worth. You have a tendency of seeing your self-worth through relationships, and it’s about time you acknowledge how precious you really are. Believe it or not, you are appreciated, but like everything, it starts within. Connections can come and go but what matters is you know what you deserve. You’re ready to promise that next time love comes around, you’ll make sure it lives up to Virgo standards and no less, and by a look at the stars, it may happen sooner than you think.

Libra Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra First House)
Card: Ace of Swords  — Element: Air
New ideas are in full swing and you feel inspired to start something new. The Ace of Swords shows up when we’re feeling cerebral and a desire to communicate. Perhaps you want to write a book. Maybe you want to confess your feelings to a special person. This could be someone who comes across as rather serious and reserved, but they have a way with words and something about them intrigues you. If love isn’t on your mind, there is still something important you need to get off your chest. Whatever it is, speak your piece.

For Libra rising, this full is in your first house of self. All eyes are on you but you’re not quite ready to let anyone know of your next move. Don’t pay any mind to who’s watching and do what feels right. There are some times where it’s necessary to be diplomatic, and other times to say it like it is. As you step into your power, you’ve come to realize how many situations caused you to bite your tongue just to make others happy. It’s safe to say, you can’t do that anymore.

Scorpio Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Twelfth House)
Card: Seven of Wands  — Element: Fire
You’re feeling defensive and overprotective at this time. The Seven of Wands shows up when we’re experiencing some type of confrontation and have to defend our turf. There may be someone who is jealous of your success or who wants to taunt you. Otherwise, it could also be a situation where someone wants an apology for the pain you caused them. If this isn’t the case, you could be worried about losing the success you’ve built. Remember, as long as you’ve been true to yourself, you have no reason to worry.

For Scorpio rising, this full is in your twelfth house of relationships. You’re receiving clarity surrounding the people in your life and as to why certain things didn’t work out. Perhaps you tend to put on a poker face, which gives others the wrong impression. You may feel tempted to reach out to someone you had a falling out with. If you reach out, be vigilant, as this person isn’t how you remembered them. If this isn’t about love, then it has more to do with your overall approach to vulnerability.

Sagittarius Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Eleventh House)
Card: Strength  — Element: Fire
A situation is testing your patience right now, but rest assured it will work out for the best. The Strength card shows up when we’re being tested in some way. In the card there is a lion and the woman is attempting to tame it. The lion is resistant, fearing more pain, but what it doesn’t realize is that this woman actually wants to help him. In what way do you resist in help when it’s needed? In what way can be of more help to others? These are questions you need to ask.

For Sagittarius rising, this full moon is in your eleventh house of friendships. These may be trying times with friends or a circle that you identify with. A change could have happened that made you question whether this is still what you want. A part of you may be staying out of fear of being alone, but keep in mind that the right circle wouldn’t be making you question yourself in the first place.

Capricorn Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Tenth House)
Card: Page of Cups  — Element: Water
Lately you’ve been feeling rather emotional in some way and you know it’s time to accept your feelings for what they are. The Page of Cups shows up when we’re in a period of emotional new beginnings. They could come in the form of a new partner, someone you’ve already had your eye on, or just a desire to experience greater love in general. Whatever it may be, try to avoid looking away like the Page here looks away from the cup. Face your feelings head on, because someone admires your energy.

For Capricorn rising, this full moon is in your tenth house of reputation and career. You may have reached a peek or finally accomplished a goal that you’ve been working on, and now you’re wondering what’s next. If single, you could meet someone who works in your field, or who happens to be an artist. This person attracts a lot of attention but your actions will tell you how you loyal they are to you. If you’re not looking for love or already have someone, then it’s time to ask how you can share with others the wisdom you’ve gained over the years.

Aquarius Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Ninth House)
Card: Wheel of Fortune  — Element: Fire
Something fated this way comes and you feel it. The Wheel of Fortune shows up when a situation appears to be out of our control. There are times where we take the lead, and times where we need to trust that the universe really has our best interest. Are you ready to trust the universe? You may have been resisting this for awhile, but you know change is necessary and like a true Aquarius, will power it through.

For Aquarius rising, this full moon is in your ninth house of travel and expansion. You may meet someone long-distance or be tempted to reach out to a former friend or crush who lives afar. Whatever situation this is, it may stir up uncontrollable emotions since you likely don’t know where you stand with this person. As great as it is to want to be sure of something, we never can quite be sure what reaction others will have. But oy won’t find out unless you take the first step.

Pisces Sun, Moon and Rising (Libra Eighth House)
Card: Two of Pentacles  — Element: Earth

A decision needs to be made sooner or later. The Two of Pentacles shows up when we’re trying to weight our options or juggle more than one thing at a time. The way to solve this is simple, ask yourself what your priorities are and whether you actually are making time for the right thing. In the background there is a dolphin in the water, which indicates a need to follow what brings you joy. When choosing between two people remember, game playing never benefited anyone. You need to decide whether you wish to settle or need more time on your own path.

For Pisces rising, this full moon is in your eighth house of intimacy and finances. An offer for work or love may come in, but is it really what you want? Not all that glitters is gold and it’s okay to take your time if you aren’t sure. What’s most important is to be authentic. You’re an artist, you could be embarking on something that not only stirs your passions, but that also keeps you financially stable.
