Pluto is Now in Aquarius

March 22nd 2023 – Karina Lafayette

Fasten your seatbelts and welcome to the future! Pluto enters Aquarius today for the first time since the French Revolution. As one of the slowest moving planets, Pluto marks the generations, which means Generation Beta is slowly on the way. One notable person who had Pluto in Aquarius was none other than Mary Shelley, the mother of science fiction and author of Frankenstein. Her own mother was Mary Wollstonecraft, one of the pioneers of women’s rights.

Pluto will be in Aquarius till June, before it retrogrades back into Capricorn till January. For now, we’re getting a glimpse of what’s to come for the next twenty years! To learn all about Pluto in Aquarius, click here.

Juno, Not Just a Wifey in Astrology

Wednesday Journal Entry, Week 31

March 22nd 2023 – Karina Lafayette

Sometimes, this is the first person you go to when something good happens in your life. This is the person you want to give everything to, whether you receive in return. It’s the person who’ll give you a side-eye anytime you make a mistake, but who still sees the best in you. They’re the person who struggles to tell you “no”, because they haven’t learned that love means having boundaries. It’s the person you take the bus with when there aren’t any cabs available. More importantly, this is the person who’s there when everyone else has given up on you. At worst, they can be the person who shows you where you need to put your foot down. And often, this is the person you can’t forget and who you’ll love forever, even when it’s been years since you’ve last spoken. They’re probably your Juno, or you’re theirs.

The Past Can’t Hurt You Anymore: Jupiter conjunct Chiron

March 11th 2023 – Karina Lafayette

Hi.

My name is Karina. I’m a master grudge holder. The minute someone does something, anything to hurt my feelings, I won’t hesitate to drop them. With some exceptions, of course, like say if you’re a loved one or if you’re a person who’s been a part of my life for a long time, and our connection has the power to override whatever you did.

But for everyone else, good luck, my walls are very high to climb.

Even when it comes to a one-time mistake where someone disrespect my boundaries without actually knowing they disrespected my boundaries. I’m very self-protective, but it’s only because there was a time in my life where my world was a turnstile, where people could come and go as they pleased and […]

My Venus is in a New Sign… but It’s Been a Long Time Coming

Wednesday Journal Entry, Week 29

March 8th 2023 – Karina Lafayette

You can almost taste it in the air, that in-between moment, when it’s not quite a new chapter, but it’s so close to starting. Of course, when reading a book, we can skip through the pages. When watching a movie or TV show, you can fast-forward past the boring parts. But those in-between moments that can be skipped through in certain mediums, can’t be skipped in real life. It doesn’t matter how much meditation, astrology, shadow work, therapy or chit-chat with friends, life will always progress in a linear way.

You Won’t Notice Pluto Till He’s Gone

Wednesday Journal Entry, Week 28

March 1st 2023 – Karina Lafayette

There’s something bittersweet about starting a new chapter. You know there’s certain things you can’t take with you, but at the same time, they just don’t fit anymore. You’re not the same person you were and it’s not obvious how much has changed, till it comes time to turn the page. The change is so slow, so subtle, like the John Lennon quote: “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.”

If You Love Art, Astrology, or Just Need a Different Platform, Check Out my New Website

Karina Lafayette – February 24th 2023

If there’s one thing I learned during my Saturn Return, it’s I’ll never fit in, and that’s absolutely okay, because neither do a lot of people. A lot of voices aren’t counted in the world of social media and even beyond it, and what does Nina Simone say? “You’ve got to learn to leave the table when love is no longer being served.” But to put her idea further, you have to build your own table, and make sure that the people sitting there genuinely are meant to be there. And that’s what I’m doing with my brand new social media space. I’m building a table especially for those who don’t have a seat at the others. And I’m not doing this to be rebellious or make a statement, I’m really doing this to prove that social media can be done properly, with feeling. What started as an idea for a space for artists and astrology lovers, became more.

Seven Myths Astrologers Have You Believing In

Wednesday Journal Entry, Week 28

February 22nd 2023 – Karina Lafayette

There’s no doubt astrology has become more mainstream over the years. With it has been an influx of people eager to learn more, which has also made it so that a lot of knowledge is watered-down and condensed, easy for consumption. Because of this, there’s rarely an explanation as to why something should be interpreted the way it is, not to mention the often black-or-white perspective we have toward certain signs and planets. When personal bias is confused with how energy actually works, it can make learning downright confusing. Eventually if something is repeated often enough, it gets mistaken for the real thing. So without further ado, here are seven myths some astrologers might have you believing in.

Here Come the Space Children: Pluto in Aquarius (2023-2044)

Wednesday Journal Entry, Week 27

February 15th 2023- Karina Lafayette

This isn’t the generation you want to mess with. They’re going to be determined, rational, articulate, natural leaders, and won’t take issue with saying it like it is. These are most likely kids that will start walking and talking earlier than normal, because they’ll be in such a hurry to do whatever they want in life. Should I also mention stubborn? Aquarius is after all, fixed air, meaning their beliefs and ideas are almost unchangeable, unless presented with new information that can prove them wrong, and even at that, it’s still difficult to argue with them. They’ll want it their way and will make Millennials and Gen Z look tame in comparison. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for these brats to come in.
